  1. Clean the banana florets by removing the stamen.
  2. Finely chop the banana florets and pressure cook upto two whistles.
  3. When cool enough to handle squeeze and drain excess water.
  4. Heat mustard oil in a pan and fry potato cubes at medium flame.
  5. When potatoes turn golden brown transfer to a plate.
  6. Grind soaked masoor dal into a smooth paste and add salt. In the remaining oil fry golden brown mini size masoor dal fritters.
  7. In the remaining oil add cumin seeds, cinnamon, cardamoms, bay leaves and chopped onion.
  8. Fry onion till golden brown then add banana blossom, fried potato cubes, masoor dal fritters, salt, turmeric powder, cumin powder and garam masala powder. Give it a good mix.
  9. Cook for 4-5 mins with lid on at medium flame.
  10. Serve with steamed rice
