  1. Heat oil in a pan and add clove, cinnamon and cardamom.
  2. When spices realise aroma add chopped onion, bay leaf and asafoetida. Saute till onions turn translucent.
  3. Now add ginger and garlic paste and saute till raw smell is removed.
  4. Add chopped tomato and cook with lid on. Stir occasionally.
  5. When tomatoes turn soft and mushy and add salt, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder. Mix well.
  6. Now add minced chicken and cook at medium flame with lid on. Stir occasionally.
  7. When chicken is cooked and excess water released has dried up check seasoning and adjust as per taste.
  8. Add capsicum and cook further. Do not overcook we need to retain little crunch in capsicum.
  9. Add chopped cilantro, lemon juice and butter. Mix well and cook for about a min.
  10. Garnish with lemon wedge and blob of butter.
  11. Serve with roti, naan or pav.
