  1. Clean the banana florets by removing the stamen.
  2. Finely chop the banana florets and pressure cook upto two whistles.
  3. When cool enough to handle squeeze and drain excess water.
  4. Marinate prawns with 1/2 tsp turmeric and salt.
  5. Heat 2 tablespoon of mustard oil in a nonstick pan and fry salt and turmeric marinated prawns at medium flame.
  6. When done transfer prawns to a plate.
  7. Heat 3 tablespoon mustard oil. When oil starts to smoke add cumin seeds, cinnamon, cardamoms, bay leaves and chopped onion.
  8. Fry onion till golden brown, then add banana blossom, salt, turmeric powder, cumin powder and garam masala powder. Give it a good mix.
  9. Now add prawns and cook for 4-5 mins with lid on at medium flame.
  10. Serve with steamed rice
