  1. Cut into teasel gourd into 2 pieces lengthwise. Par boil in salted water.
  2. Remove from water and transfer to a plate. When cool enough to handle gently scoop the seeds with a spoon to make teasel gourd bowls
  3. Grind mustard seeds, green chillies, cloves and 2/3 of the seeds to a smooth paste. Add salt and a tbsp of mustard oil to the paste and mix well.
  4. In a bowl add gram flour, salt and water to form a thick batter consistency.
  5. Fill the teasel gourd bowls with the mustard paste and seal with gram flour batter.
  6. Heat mustard oil in a frying pan and deep fry teasel gourd.
  7. Serve hot with steamed rice.
